The Spanish rock and pop sensation will play live in Mallorca this Thursday. Singer, Mai Meneses, first appeared in a Spanish reality TV show, ‘Operación Triunfo', a contest designed to find new talent. Although she didn't win Mai went on to team up with bassist, Kim Fanlo, who she met during the post-show tour.

The band was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award in 2006 and 2009. And in 2008 their single ‘Tenia Tanto Que Darte' was Spain's best-selling song of the year on iTunes. In 2010 Kim decided to leave the duo and Mai went on to produce the band's third album on her own.

The name, Nena Daconte, comes from a character in the short story ‘The Trail of Your Blood on the Snow' by Gabriel García Márquez.

The concert will be held on the Santa Ponsa beach as part of the Sant Joan festivities and begins at 10pm. Entrance is free.

For more information on the group visit the Nena Daconte site.
