El Corte Ingles opens five new stores at Palma de Mallorca's airport
Spanish department store giant, El Corte Ingles, is opening five new stores, covering 1,800 square metres of retail space, at the Son Sant Joan airport. Four of the outlets opened at the weekend and the fifth opens this week, before the official inauguration of the new commercial area on Friday.
Located in terminal C and open daily from 7am until 9 pm, the new stores will sell a wide range of products including fine food, perfume and cosmetics, electronic items, toys, souvenirs and fashion and accessories.
The five shops will generate a total of 50 new jobs. El Corte Ingles also has plans to open one of its Supercor supermarkets on the Camino la Vileta in Palma de Mallorca later this year.
