A surge of interest in holidays to Spain and Mallorca following the recent unrest in northern Africa has resulted in a number of low cost airlines increasing their capacity to popular destinations such as Palma de Majorca. Ryanair, Monarch and Jet2 have all announced that additional seats will be available, starting from next month.

Jet2 has suspended it's flight programme to Egypt and has added an extra 70,000 seats to it's Spanish destinations. You'll be able to fly direct to Palma from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Blackpool, Leeds-Bradford, East Midlands and Manchester. Ryanair will be increasing the number of flights into Palma by over 40% this year - you can fly from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, East Midlands, Bristol, Bournemouth, London-Stanstead, Dublin & Shannon.

Monarch will be flying from Manchester, Birmingham, London Luton & London Gatwick. Flybe will be catering to clients who wish to fly from Exeter and Southampton. Easyjet continue with their comprehensive coverage from the UK, with flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, London Luton, London Stanstead & London Gatwick.

British Airways are due to restart their Citiflyer service to Palma de Mallorca from London City airport in March. A new service operated by Oxford Airport and local independent travel company Great Experience Travel Group will also be available this summer, starting from June.
