Mallorcan Moto3 star Luis Salom trains with Wheels Sport
Partnership between Championship rider & the Mallorcan bike experts, Wheels Sport
Mallorcan road bike specialist Wheels Sport have announced a partnership with the rising star of Moto3, Luis Salom. He will train with equipment from Wheels Sport and their ETXEONDO clothing range as part of his preparations for the 2013 motorcycling season.
Wheels Sport is a bicycle company which has three stores in the north of Mallorca (Port d'Alcudia, Playa de Muro & Can Picafort). They specialise in cycle hire, clothing and equipment, but they also have a long standing interest in motorcycles. They will be providing Luis with road bikes for Luis' rigorous training programme in this all-Mallorcan partnership.
Luis Salom is a local boy, being born in Palma de Mallorca in 1991. He has been involved with motorcycle racing since he was aged eight and last year he finished second in the Moto3 Championship with the Kalex KTM team.
In 2013 he will race with the current world championship team Red Bull KTM where he is touted as being one of the favourites for the title.
Mallorca seems very adept at producing motorcycling champions - Jorge Lorenzo is the current MotoGP world champion and is also from Palma.
