Anima Negra Vineyard, Felanitx

Young vineyard producing excellent wines

Location
Felanitx

Situated to the south-east of Mallorca, this winery produces its wines on the old country estate of Son Burguera close to the town of Felanitx. They are known for their cultivation of the indigenous varieties Manto Negro, Fogoneu, Prensal Blanc and, most importantly, Callet. The wines of this relatively young winery (established in 1994) have made a big impression on wine connoisseurs and its blends have already reached cult status.

A young vineyard but certainly no less impressive, Ànima Negra was coined in 1994 by two self-taught Mallorcan friends, Pere Ignasi Obrador and Miquel Àngel Cerdà, on the old country estate of Son Burguera close to the town of Felanitx. Whilst it ranks as a relatively new vineyard, the wine produced here dates back to the 13th century. This vineyard’s organic farming methods have created elegant wines, receiving worldwide praise and a loyal local following. You’ll need to contact the vineyard directly to arrange tastings and tours.
