Canamunt vs Canavall Battle Reenactment

Two noble families of 16th-century Mallorca, the Canamunts and the Canavalls were sworn enemies for many years and this animosity came to a crux in the sixteenth century with a confrontation that lasted around 60 years.
This re-enactment of the battle has been organised by the Orgull Llonguet collective, a group of citizens who wish to arrange festivals and parties using social media. It'll take place on Sunday 2nd August
Participants must choose a side and wear either a red or a yellow t-shirt. Bring a water pistol and a hat. The starting point for the Canamunt side is the Porta des Camp, while the Canavall meet at the Placa Drassanes, both at 16:30. Each group will then be accompanied by a band to the battleground at Parc de la Mer for 18:30.
