Demolition of the Rocamar Hotel in Soller to Start on Monday
Work will begin on Monday 14th July to start demolishing what's left of the Rocamar Hotel in Port de Soller.
Concerns had been raised about starting the work in the busy summer season, but the decision was made yesterday by the Ministry of Tourism that it can go ahead, and demolition will start from early next week.
Any work will be carried out between 08:30 and 13:30 and then from 14:30 to 18:30 to try and cause as little disruption to people holidaying in the area as possible, says Catalina Power of the Soller Tourist Office.
The hotel is set to be replaced by a tree-lined terrace area.
