International Museum Day in Mallorca
May 18th is International Museum Day in the Balearic Islands, where members of the public can gain free access to a host of museums and art galleries throughout Mallorca. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of the impact that museums can play in society, by providing information about cultural heritage and values.
Activities and events have been organised at many of Majorca's museums, with guided visits, dance performances, children's workshops and musical concerts providing education and entertainment for all the family.
Participating galleries include Pilar & joan Miro Foundation, Museu de Mallorca, Es Baluard, Casa Museu Dionis Bennassar, Museu Diocesa de Mallorca, Casal Solleric and Bellver castle. Take a look at the full programme of events (only in Catalan).
