The young man who died last Thursday night in the Magaluf beach resort in Mallorca was identified at the weekend as 19 year old Brit Thomas Ousby.

Mr Ousby fell from the ninth floor fire escape of the Atlantic Park Hotel in Magaluf early on Thursday morning. Despite trying for an hour to revive him the emergency services were unable to save his life.

According to local newspaper Ultima Hora a member of the hotel staff saw Mr Ousby on the fire escape and told him he was not allowed to be there, he brought Mr Ousby inside the hotel and left him. What happened next is unclear and how the young man fell from the building is still being investigated by the Civil Guard.

Although it was suspected that Mr Ousby was not staying at the Atlantic Park Hotel Police and emergency services were unable to identify him as he had no documentation with him.

Mr Ousby, an aspiring model and musician had been working in Magaluf promoting bar crawls and boat parties and had posted on Twitter "Magas all good, coming home sometime this week tho."
