Undoubtedly one of the most photogenic spots in the island, Port de Pollença's beach is nearly 1.5 km long and has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag sign.

A study by digital photo albums company Hofmann has found out that it is also the most photographed beach in Spain. The survey has analysed over 1,500 pictures taken with smartphones all over Spain. An impressive 26.8% of the total were taken at Port de Pollença's beach.

Other places in Mallorca have also ranked high in the list. The popular beach of Alcúdia with its fine white sand and clear turquoise sea was awarded the second place scoring a 26.1%. Sa Marina beach, also in Alcúdia and well-known for its ash-grey coloured rocks, due to the presence of protected posidonia seagrass, was third with a 19.6%.

Mallorca asserts its reputation for first-quality beaches which are not only safe and fun but also very pleasing to the eye!
