La Vasca Restaurant, Palma Centre & Marina

A traditional tapas restaurant with a buzzy atmosphere

featured in Restaurants Updated

An authentic yet modern restaurant and bar with a buzzy atmosphere, serving traditional tapas and a wonderful menu del dia at lunch time.

Away from the tourist hot spots in Palma, this is the kind of place that is filled with locals! A casual restaurant and bar featuring Basque-style plates and snacks, alongside daily specials and a popular menu del dia at lunch time. The extensive tapas menu includes the usual favourites, including Rabowitch, various croquetas, iberico jamon (ham) and tortilla. Whilst the menu del dia is a 3 course affair and provides some more hearty dishes, for instance entrcote steak with chips and green peppers and salmon risotto with vegetables. The homemade desserts are worth trying too!

"Some of the best bites of food I've had in Spain! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pintxos were fantastic and very reasonable for the experience." - Trip Advisor

"The vibe appeared to be local and casual with a lot of return customers - if the greetings were anything to go by." - Trip Advisor

"Excellent ! Northern Spanish cuisine - the Rabowich is possibly the best small plate of food I’ve ever had in 15 years of coming the the Island. Meat bomb is very good and the set lunch (changes weekly) is amazing value at €12.95 for 3 courses + water" - Trip Advisor

"A very local area but a pretty trendy bar, quite small but the food looked really nice, mainy tapas type small dishes but unusual and looked very high quailty . They have one of those clever wine tapping devices that means you can have a glass from an expensive bottle without buying a whole bottle; that was great." - Trip Advisor
