Boney-M show Daddy Cool cancelled in Palma
Daddy not cool enough for Mallorca
The musical Daddy Cool has been cancelled in Palma de Mallorca. The show which features the songs of Boney M was due to play in the Trui Theatre Majorca until September but was cancelled last Friday after attendance numbers were too low to make it sustainable.
The official site for the show said:
"Dear Daddy-Cool Fans!
We are forced to prematurely end the performance of Daddy Cool in Mallorca for economic reasons.
After a highly acclaimed première and the consistently positive critiques from the press and the audience alike this decision might come as a disappointing surprise but already the first two weeks of the planned season showed clearly that we will not achieve the amount of visitors needed to cover the running costs for the show and its top class cast.
Soon Daddy Cool can be experienced in England and further countries.
Visitors who have already purchased tickets for the show are kindly requested to contact us via e-mail under service@daddy-cool.com for further information."
