Cameron, Alonso & Bource choose Mallorca for summer holiday
Prime Ministers, F1 stars and Oscar winners all pick Mallorca for summer sun
David Cameron and his wife were spotted in Pollenca yesterday. The Prime Minister and his family are taking a short holiday in Mallorca this week during the Parliment's summer recess. Mr Cameron was seen enjoying a coffee on the terrace of Club Pollenca with his wife yesterday morning and Downing Street said he would return to London next week and be "back in the office for a couple of days" before heading off again for a short break in the UK.
Mallorca is also the holiday destination of choice for two time world Champion Fernando Alonso. The Formula 1 star was seen recently enjoying himself with his new girlfriend, Russian model Dasha Kapustina, on board a boat off the coast of Mallorca and Pollenca is not just popular with politicians. Last week Bradley Wiggins was on holiday in the north of Mallorca and this week the Oscar winner Ludovic Bource is taking some time off in Pollenca.
Bource won his Oscar for composing the music to last year's Academy Award favourite "The Artist" and tonight he will be introducing the film at a screening in the Cloister de Sant Domingo in Pollenca at 22:00.
