Palma Airport expects a Record Summer this Year

23 million passengers expected in 2014

Palma de Mallorca airport will be busier than ever this year, with an estimated 23 millions seats sold to & from Mallorca so far this year.

Airport operator Aena says this is an increase of 6.4% on summer 2013 just to Mallorca, with an increase of 8.7% to the Balearics in total.

The routes with the most seating capacity will be Palma - Barcelona & Palma - Dusseldorf.

The island hosts all sorts of events, including agricultural fairs in the spring and autumn, live music and DJs in the summer, religious fiestas and international sporting events. Some of the most popular are the Mallorca 312 cycling race in April, the Copa del Rey sailing regatta in July and the Moors vs Christians mock battle in September.
