Do you fancy riding your horse to a restaurant, tying up and getting breakfast or dinner? Well, howdy cowboy, here's your chance...

In the months of July and August it's just too hot to take horses out during the day. It’s no fun for the riders and even less for the horses. Riding in the high summer means getting up early or riding out late as the sun begins to set and coming home in the moonlight. Now at Hipica Formentor, you can choose.

They ride through the sandy tracks and lanes, across mowed fields, against the backdrop of the mountains and find their way into Sa Pobla where they have permission to tie up at one of two restaurants. Specialities include Mallorcan Frito, crispy chicken wings, fried squid, chorizo, tortilla, cod in tomato sauce and fresh anchovies There is fresh bread and pastries available. Try the tripe which is favourite morning snack with the locals! You can choose coffee, wine, beer, water or sangria to wash it down.

Last week Louisa from Germany described this experience as "fulfilling a long-term dream". Put it on your bucket list and then cross if off. Come on – it's time to live like a cowboy in Mallorca.
