Mallorca is characterised by having a network of extensive caves where you can find unique rock formations like stalactites, stalagmites, columns

Depending on your age and ability there are a variety of caves to choose from.

  • Sea Caving Des Coloms Cave - Sea caving, which includes trekking and swimming or snorkelling.
  • S'Embut Cave - Located in the Sierra de Na Burguesa, this is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the area, where you can observe different speleothems and it has a depth of about 95 meters.
  • La Campana Cave - One of the most famous on the island due to its size and depth of it reaching the quota of 350 meters deep.
  • Des Cans Cave - Located in Caimari with a depth of 96 meters, it does not have many formations but it is a vertical cave and therefore has a technical descent, It is important to have knowledge of ascending by a fixed rope.
  • Fra Rafel Cave - One of the most outstanding caves on the island, 147 metres deep and recommended for people who want to progress in the field of speleology.
  • Des Marmols Cave - The deepest of the network of caves of Na burguesa, with a descent of 85 metres.

The minimum age for this activity is between 10 and 15 years depending on the cave.

What to bring

  • Water (1.5L/person) and food (sandwich, energy bars, fruit)
  • Comfortable clothing and hiking boots
  • Old clothing for caving
  • It is always advisable to wear a windbreaker or raincoat
  • Cap, sunglasses and sunscreen
