Nina Pastori is a Spanish flamenco singer and recording artist. Born Maria Rosa Garcia Garcia in 1978, she was the youngest of five children and the only girl. Her father was in the military and her mother a flamenco singer who went by the name of 'La Pastori'. Nina sang from an early age. At the age of six she accompanied her mother to performances. Just a year later she won a contest in her home town of San Fernando launching her career as a flamenco singer.
Nina has released several albums, some with original material, others with covers of traditional songs. She was chosen to sing Ave Maria during Pope John Paul II's visit to Madrid in 2003.
