Summer Sunset Concert of Classical Music
Classical music concert at the Museu de la Mar
The annual Summer Sunset Concert of classical vocal music returns for a fifth year with a performance on Friday 30th August at 9 p.m. in the romantic setting of the courtyard of the Museu de la Mar above the Port de Sóller.
This popular concert features songs and duets performed by Fiona Stuart-Wilson (soprano) and Waltraud Mucher (mezzo soprano), accompanied by Suzanne Bradbury at the piano.
This year the programme includes well-loved classics by Debussy, Delibes, Dvorak, Rossini and Offenbach as well as less familiar gems by Messager, Fauré and Liszt.
Music lovers are advised to arrive from 8pm to experience the spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean before going on to enjoy the entertaining and exciting concert.
Tickets (15 euros) can be bought at the Museu de la Mar (Museum of the Sea), Port de Sóller, from 8.15 pm on the evening of the concert and the ticket price includes a glass of wine in the interval.
