British Airways will start flying from London Heathrow to Palma beginning on the 31st March 2013 as they announce an increase in the number of their flights to Spain and the Balearics.

There will be one flight on Saturday and one on Sunday to Mallorca until the end of October on a Airbus A319 jet. British Airways also flies from London City to Palma; there will be more of these flights this year thanks to their popularity last year.

Passengers looking to fly from Heathrow can also choose Vueling, who is owned by IAG's Iberia. They picked up the daily route from Heathrow to Palma that was previously operated by British Midlands. Flights are due to start on 23rd March 2013 and have been welcomed by both ex-pats and holidaymakers.
