Bruce Springsteen dedicates The River to Mallorca man
The Boss dedicates song to Nacho Hurtado
Last night in Madrid the goal of a twitter campaign was realised when Bruce Springsteen dedicated "The River" to Nacho Hurtado, a 20 year old Mallorcan man who died before he could see his hero on stage.
Nacho had fought against a brain tumour since 2010 and for his 20th birthday his parents gave him three tickets to see "The Boss" in Madrid. Sadly he succumbed to his illness two weeks before the concert.
His friends and family set up a twitter account #vaportiNacho and created a social media frenzy in an attempt to have Springsteen dedicate "The River" to Nacho.
Last night in Madrid the song was played with these words from the American rock legend: "We want to dedicate this to Nacho and his friends. He is in our prayers"
