Steps have been taken to put a stop to people drinking in the streets and parks of Inca, after a recent increase in complaints from local residents who are tired of clearing up the mess left behind, and the behaviour of some of the groups (some of which are thought to be under age).

The Police efforts have meant that fines totalling €1500 euros, in 10 separate cases, have been handed out recently. They are also speaking to a number of local bars to ensure that the correct licenses are in place and that they are not serving minors.

Free roaming dogs and their owners are also being targeted with fines, in an attempt to keep the streets clear of dogs mess.

Fines issued start at €150 and could be anything up to €2500, depending on the severity.
