Genova tunnels towards Palma Airport closed at night

Diverted routes to Palma Airport

The Genova tunnels will be closed for the next few nights from 10pm so that maintenance work can be carried out on the roof of the tunnel. The Mallorca Land Minister said that work was essential as moisture problems in the twenty year old tunnel ceiling could lead to "landslides".

Most of this week the tunnel has been closed in the Palma - Andratx direction but now the work has to start on the other side of the tunnel and diversions have been set up to route traffic travelling from Andratx - Airport.

Vehicles will now pass along the Passeig Maritimo if they are travelling from the west of Palma towards the airport.
