Hotels Embrace Cycling in Mallorca Over the Winter Months
Twenty Six Hotels in Playa de Palma alone have upgraded their facilities for cyclists this winter.
Cyclists in Mallorca make up sixty percent of the hotel clientèle over the winter months and the hotels that are staying open are trying to cash in on this big slice of the tourist market. The peak months for cycling are not until after Christmas but in February, March and April there are tens of thousands of visitors to the island making use of the excellent roads through the Tramuntana and the 1400 km of dedicated cycle paths.
The hotels are keen to make the most of these numbers and just outside Palma de Mallorca there are now hotels with storage and workshop facilities as well as specialist athletic meal options.
