Yacht charter company Sunsail will open a base in the capital of the Balearics, Palma de Mallorca in May this year.

Sunsail, which is part of the TUI Travel Group, will set up base along the Naviera Balear in the Real Club Nautico Palma Harbour, opposite the bustling central district of La Llonja. The new base will be an ideal location for those wishing to charter a boat and explore the neighbouring Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Formentor and Menorca.

The Sunsail yachts in Palma marina will be a monohull Sunsail 47 (sleeps 8-10) or the award winning Sunsail 444 catamaran (sleeps 8-10). Both these vessels offer luxury accommodation and a quality sailing experience.

In order to sail a boat in the Balearics you need an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) or RYA Day Skipper certificate. If you charter a skippered yacht, no sailing qualifications are necessary.

A holiday for four persons In late July is priced at around €4,655 and €6,384 for the Sunsail 47 and Sunsail 444 respectively. Charters begin on Saturdays and are for 7 days or 14 days.
