Summer sales begin today in Mallorca
Bargains to be had shopping in Palma and the rest of Majorca
The summer sales began today in Mallorca and will continue 'til the end of August. The shopping opportunities in Palma alone are pretty good with department stores like El Corte Ingles offering up to 50% reductions on clothing and home furnishings.
The sales will run for two months and are expected to boost interest in the large stores on the island but there are some fears that smaller businesses will not be able to match the discounts offered by the large chains.
