Having celebrated it's third birthday earlier this month, Team Sky have headed back to Mallorca for this years winter cycling training camp.

Team Sky have returned to the Vanity Hotel Golf in the popular cycling base of Port d'Alcudia where the majority of Team Sky will stay for the rest of the month. Clad in all new Rapha Team Sky cycling kit, the team will spend most of January here training. Some of the riders will be preparing for the Tour Down Under which takes place later in January.

Last month British cycling coach and manager of Team Sky Sir Dave Brailsford said he is on the hunt for a more permanent and centralised base for the team to train. Some of the options for this could be Girona, Monaco or Nice, however Mallorca has served the team well throughout their years of training camps based here.

Other pro teams that have chosen Mallorca as a winter training ground include Pharma-QuickStep which former Team Sky rider Mark Cavendish has recently joined.

Team Sky are easily spotted out training in the Tramuntana Mountains and are usually followed by their coach and support team in the Team Sky Jaguar.
