Boat Market in the Balearics on the Rise
Things are looking up in Mallorca and Ibiza
After a few years of struggle, the Balearics boat market is picking up. So far, this year has seen an average growth of 23.3% compared to 2014, making this region the undisputed leader in Spain.
However, experts point out that the increase is concentrated in jet skis and 8 to 16 metre long motorboats, mainly aimed at the charter business.
In fact, the boat hiring sector, which in 2014 reached a historical record, is still growing strong with a 39.4% rise this year.
