Dog Stranded on Cliff for 24 Hours

After a fall on Tuesday evening as the dog was walking with its owners along the cliff tops of Banyalbufar on the west coast of Mallorca, the dog was presumed not to have survived the fall.
The couple tried in vain to see the dog, and to access where they thought it had fallen to and although the assumed that the dog had not survived the fall they alerted the emergency services as a last attempt.
However, with darkness fast approaching and the rough seas, they could not search for long. Hours later, however, it was reported that barking and howling were heard on the cliff. So on Wednesday, the Mountain Rescue once again took on the search and finally found the dog on the cliff, trapped on a slope. The rescuers abseiled down and brought the dog to safety.
24 hours after the fall, the owners were reunited with their four legged friend. A happy ending for all!
