Family-friendly resorts in Mallorca
Mallorca is a really family-friendly destination full of fabulous resorts waiting to cater for you and yours. From large resorts delivering activity-filled days to quieter, family run retreats which will make you feel at home from home, there's plenty to choose from.
Some have direct access to the beach, some are strategically positioned a stone's throw away to enjoy a little extra peace. Whatever you're looking for, you're bound to find it on the island. Here's just a small selection of what's on offer.
Pinos Park Beach Resort - Font de Sa Cala

Located beside a pretty bay bordered by pines, this four-star resort on the north-east coast caters expressly for families. There is plenty to do on site with daily activities for everyone and a dedicated animation team. There are three different kids clubs for ages between 4-17 offering painting, dancing, plenty of games and kids' disco. The eldest can participate in sports contests and even get involved creating their own shows. A babysitting service is available at an extra cost, a handy option for those parents looking for a well-deserved night off. The spacious grounds includes a popular water park play area with water shoots and slides, conveniently close to the solarium where the adults can top up their tan while keeping their eye on their little pirates!
St Regis Mardavall Hotel - Costa d'en Blanes

A luxury five-star resort on the Costa d'en Blanes, a stay here is bound to impress all the family. Stunning sea views, spacious rooms and first-class service awaits you. There's a kid's club with two pools reserved for the little ones, plus plenty of games on offer and shows and storytelling events for all the family. The hotel can also arrange golf and swimming lessons for an extra charge. Sumptuous dressing gowns and Nespresso machines in your room are just the beginning. The restaurant boasts a Michelin-starred chef and its Arabella Spa is just one of the largest in the Mediterranean. Perhaps the only drawback is that there is only access to a small, rocky cove from the hotel. Then again, that's what creates its isolated, exclusive feel. Luckily if you find yourself craving a big the sandy beach, Palma Nova is just a ten-minute walk away.
PortBlue Club Pollentia - between Alcúdia & Port de Pollença

Situated beside the Natural Park of S'Albufereta and Port de Pollença, this large resort offers great value for money and is perfect for families who love the great outdoors. Cyclists love to use it as a base for exploration and there's even a bike shop on site. There are tennis courts and table tennis, pool and daily activities for all ages. Although the rocky patch of beach nearby is better suited to windsurfers than sand castle builders, a free shuttle service to nearby beaches operates every day. Only ten minutes away, you'll be able to enjoy the long, sandy beaches of Alcúdia and Port de Pollença, as well as their shops and restaurants. The grounds are spacious, with two large pools, a spa and plenty of greenery to give that relaxed holiday feel. The resort even has a choice of kids club and organises shows and mini discos. There's a babysitting service available. Accompanying friends or relatives might be pleased to know there is an adults-only wing, in case they want to escape to the quiet after all the family fun!
Hotel Bon Sol Resort - Illetas

For families preferring a smaller, quieter alternative to the large resorts, the family run Bon Sol might be the answer. Located in the pretty neighbourhood of Illetas, just a 20-minute drive from Palma, the hotel is spread over several apartment buildings overlooking the sea. It has access to a small private beach and is also just a short stroll away from the gorgeous main beach of Illetas. Bored of the beach? There are also tennis courts, table tennis, volleyball, pool tables and finally, a jacuzzi for unwinding after a sun-soaked day. Traditional decor gives it that old world feel, while the gardens and pools provide an oasis of tranquility. During school holidays there's a kids club where children can get stuck into arts and crafts as well as sports and games. There's an indoor play room, a kid's pool and two outdoor playgrounds. It's a resort that welcomes families wanting to feel at home away from home.
