The neighbourhood
Beautifully framed in the rolling mountains of northern Mallorca and surrounded by sea, Zafiro is set in the heart of charming Puerto de Alcudia, just 50 minutes north from Palma and close to neighbouring towns Alcúdia and Pollensa.
The pool
The largest ‘main’ pool is set amongst the resort’s spectacular gardens and is a wonderful place to relax and soak up the sun. Water sports classes are offered throughout the day such as water aerobics or water polo. Near to this is a fun ‘Wet Bubble’ pool, specially designed to keep your little ones entertained in the water as well as the adults too! As well as the ‘Bubble Pool’ there’s a designated children’s pool, complete with giant pirate ship, slides and playground with lifeguards on watch.
4 ‘Swim-Up’ pools offer direct access from ground floor suites.
The heated adults-only ‘Oasis Pool’ is perfect for relaxing in calm, along with two other indoor pools intended to help recharge your batteries in time to enjoy the Zen Spa and Wellness Centre equipped with a sauna, Jacuzzi and massage services.
The Bar

Directions
Just 50 minutes from Palma.
Head east on the Ma-19 for 48km (30 miles) until you reach the town of Inca. At Inca, take the exit onto Ma-13B toward Alcudia and follow for 7km (4.3 miles) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue on the Ma-13B. Follow the Ma-13B for approximate 12km (7.5 miles) until you reach Alcudia town. Here, continue straight onto Avinguda de l’Albufera/Ma-12. Follow the road for around 3km (1.9 miles) until you reach another roundabout where you’ll take the second exit and stay on Avinguda de l’Albufera/Ma-12. Continue for another 2km until you reach the hotel.

Son Vida Golf Course
The Son Vida golf course ranks among the island's most beautiful courses. The course was one of the first to be created on Majorca in 1964 by F.W. Hawtree, but was renovated in 2001 by Kurt Rossknecht. The 18-hole golf course is a par 71. The golf course consists of fairly tight fairways with two water hazards. The greens tend to be small & round, with bunkers on either side. Doglegs on the course create challenges for the more experienced player.

Sa Pobla
Sa Pobla, 4km north of Muro, is known as Mallorca's vegetable basket. This fertile area of marshes reclaimed as farmland is referred to as 'the land of a thousand windmills', and there is a decent autumn fair that showcases their local agricultural produce in November. Some of these wetlands have been protected as part of s'Albufera Natural Park.
