The planned dates for this action are the 11th, 12th, 25th & 26th July. With each day seeing a three hour strike, or walkout, by staff.

By law, however, air traffic control workers are not allowed a complete walkout and must maintain a minimum service level, which has been fixed at 80% by the Ministry of Development.

At the Palma airport alone they are expecting up to 300,000 passengers be affected, although air traffic controls are insisting that there will only be minor delays and disruption to passengers will be minimal.

If you are travelling on any of these days then check with your airline ahead of time for delays or re-scheduled flights. You can also use the official Ministry of Development website flight checker where you can search in English for your flight number of destination to see the status of flights in and out of Spain.
