Palma very popular for online tourist destination searches
The Danish online flight search engine momondo have released their 2016 stats, and Palma has been revealed as one of the rising destinations with a 65% increase in searches compared to 2015.
The Mallorcan capital has also been included in the top 10 most sought-after tourist destinations in 32 different countries, as well as in the top 5 most visited countries among Spaniards together with Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife and Málaga.
Jetcost have also unveiled their data for 2016 this week, revealing that Palma has been the favourite city among Germans in number of searches, just like in 2015, and the third among Portuguese. In Britain and the Netherlands the capital of Mallorca was ranked in seventh place, in France in eighth spot, and in tenth place among Russians.
