Data from holiday comparison website, TravelSupermarket shows the one in 20 of the 3.5million searches are for Mallorca.

Naturally the beach resort of Magaluf came out top of the searches for popular destinations for group holidays. Having been a travel hotspot for British tourists for years now and despite new measures to 'clean-up' the anti-social behaviour by holiday makers, it is still proving an extremely popular choice.

The Top 10 most popular destinations for Brits this summer are:

1. Mallorca
2. Tenerife
3. Algarve
4. Ibiza
5. Lanzarote
6. Orlando
7. Grand Canaria
8. Benidorm
9. Crete
10. Disneyland Paris
