Bodegues Bordoy, Llucmajor

Good range of wines grown over more than 20 hectares

The vineyard is located to the south of Mallorca, close to the coast and Cap Blanc and Sa Torre. The dry climate here produces a low yield high quality wine. A big part of the vineyard is comprised of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, followed by Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay. In addition, they have a half hectare of Callet, a red variety indigenous to the island, and 1.5 hectares of the native white varieties Premsal Blanc and Giro Ros.

Surrounded by vines on the ancient landscape of Terra de Marès, the family-run Bodegas Bordoy is one of Mallorca’s medium-sized wineries located just south of Playa de Palma area. They proudly produce 13 varieties of red, rosé and white wines within Spain’s Protected Designation of Origin: DO Pla i Llevant requiring their process to follow strict quality regulations.

They offer a vineyard tour of approx. 1.5 hours around the premises, including the sampling of five different wines accompanied by local pa amb olis and an in-depth explanation of their production methods. Booking is required for guided tours and wine tastings. Their shop is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00. The knowledgeable and friendly staff speak English, Spanish, German, Swedish and French, with dogs welcome too!
