Doggy Race in Port Adriano
Port Adriano opens its doors once again to the Doggie Race, a unique family event where adults and children will enjoy and where pets will be the real stars.
This is a different and special race where humans and their canine pets will run together as a family, with the main objectives of raising awareness about the importance of having a pet and ensuring that the municipality of Calvià becomes more Pet Friendly every year, where pets are gradually accepted in more public places and where green spaces are created for them.
The sporting part of the race will consist of a 2-kilometre circuit where participants can run or walk with their pets, since, although it is a sporting event, it will not be competitive and all participants will receive their prize upon reaching the finish line. With this idea, we seek to hold a relational sporting event, where both the owners and family members who wish to participate and their pets, enjoy a day where everyone will be the protagonist.
The event will take place on October 19th.
Agenda:
9:00-11:00 Collection of race numbers (for those who have not collected them before at the Dogma Store on C/Nuredduna, 7 bajos. Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
11:00-11:30 Charity race. The sporting part is a race of almost 2 kilometres in which participants can run or walk with their pets. The race will not be competitive and all participants will receive their prize upon reaching the finish line. The spirit of this initiative is none other than to share a day of fun between lovers of the canine world and man's best friend.
11:30-12:00 Awards Ceremony
12:00-12:30 – This will be followed by a dog show by the Guardia Civil’s canine service. The next show will be by a team of security dogs.
12:30-13:00 Agility workshops with demonstration of dog skills and Frisbee games
13:00-14:00 Dog Parade: to close the event there will be a magnificent parade led by the Peluditos de Son Reus Association to promote dog adoption.
