This week sees Mallorca hosting the 14th International Masters Cycling Week, one of the most important events on the amateur circuit. The competition is made up of three separate trials, each in a different part of the island and posing different challenges.

The races begin on Monday 10th, with the 17th edition of the European Masters' Cup at the Playa de Palma. There is an 11.5 km circuit with eight categories of cyclists completing between four and seven laps.

On Tuesday, cyclists will be competing for the International Masters' Trophy. The race begins and finishes in Palma Nova. There are two circuits, one of 43.6 kilometres and the second just over 77 kilometres, both passing through the town of Llucmajor.

Finally the Masters' Tour of Mallorca takes place over three days, from the Thursday to the Saturday. Here competitors' stamina is put to the test with a series of climbs across the island's hilly terrain. Prizes will be awarded on Saturday at the closing ceremony.
