New panoramic HD webcam for Port de Soller, Mallorca
We are delighted to unveil our new panoramic webcam in Port de Soller, Mallorca - over-looking the beautiful bay. The new web cam replaces our original 'restricted angle' camera we put up in a hurry last Autumn (and whilst it was a start, it just didn't do the view justice). We now have a fantastic 180 degree sweeping view of the... building works! Hopefully they will be finished soon so they will stop splattering the lens with mud and dust...
In all seriousness though, we all know the bay is absolutely stunning and the new improvements to the tramway, the creation of a larger sandy beach heading right towards the main town from our webcam's location are all welcome additions to what is one of the least spoilt resorts on Majorca. With the construction of the super-luxury hotel on the cliff-tops we think Soller and the Port de Soller area is well worth keeping more of an eye on - especially as this has just got a lot easier!
So far (we would say this... but we're sure you'll agree), we think this has to be the best webcam image on the island in terms of quality and view; and it is a great complement to our other webcam overlooking Palma de Mallorca. We are looking for additional locations in Port de Pollenca, and the South / South-west, if anyone has any suggestions - and especially a venue with a view to host a camera on - we would love to hear from you.
