At SeeMallorca we appreciate that a picture is worth a thousand words, so we've decided to share with you a beautiful summary of this year on the island of Mallorca: two stunning time-lapse videos made with over 200,000 images by professional photographer Juan García.

Born in Casablanca (Morocco), García currently lives in Palma and has spent the last year taking hundreds of thousands of photographs to create 700 sequences divided into two six-minute videos that showcase the beauty of his city and of the island of Mallorca. Under the title "Mallorca: A Surprising Island" and "Palma: A Surprising City", they were officially presented in early December but only made publicly available last Friday.

Starting in August 2015, Juan García has photographed Mallorca's well-known areas but also its hidden corners, including Ca'n Picafort beach - the first spot he captured on camera -, Serra de Tramuntana by moonlight, Cap de Formentor at sunset, Soller Vintage train on the move, extensive olive groves, or the daily life in the island's towns & villages and its capital. An impressive accomplishment taking into account he travelled over 6,000 kilometres with an equipment weighing 20 kg.

You can now sit back and enjoy his 2,000 hours of work condensed into more than 12 minutes with some of the most beautiful shots of Mallorca we've ever seen, to the sound of original music composed by Sergio Llopis and Joan Carles Cardell. Just click on the video links above and below.
