Mallorca's local government has developed three new hiking routes in the Tramuntana mountains that combine nature and sport with culture and heritage. It is all part of the European "Rando pour la Culture" project that also includes trails in Corsica and continental Greece.

This European programme aims at promoting rural areas by showcasing its traditions, culture, architecture, flora and heritage in general.

In Mallorca, there are three trail routes especially developed for families which can easily be completed in a day. They take hikers through the beautiful landscapes of Cala de Deia, Castell d'Alaró and S'Esquena de S'Ermita in Selva. Some of the cultural activities offered include concerts, visits to artists workshops or tastings of traditional cuisine.

For more information, you can check the project's website (in French & Catalán).
