Mallorca, among the top ten islands in the world 2016
The Balearic paradise has been chosen as one of the best islands to visit
Mallorca has reached number six in TripAdvisor's Travelers Choice Awards for islands, only behind Maui, Santorini, Jamaica, Providenciales (Turks & Caicos) and Bali.
The list has been compiled according to the quantity and quality of reviews on TripAdvisor, as well as the ranking of the island's hotels, restaurants and things to do. In seventh place is Mauritius, while the top ten closes with Phuket, Bora Bora and Fernando de Noronha, in Brazil.
Mallorca has been highlighted for its beaches and the variety of activities on offer for the whole family, including Marineland, a waterpark in Portals Nous, and Soller vintage train, which won another tourism award this year.
