October has finally brought much-needed rainfalls to Mallorca! After an unusually dry summer on the island, autumn has come carrying water and it seems that it will stay that way for at least 10 more days.

The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has predicted the arrival of dark clouds and precipitations for next week, with rainfalls intensifying from Sunday to Thursday. Temperatures will drop below average for this time of year, with maximums reaching only 22 degrees.

Last Thursday saw the arrival of an area of low pressure to the island which brought rain mainly to the north of Mallorca, with Pollença receiving around 15 litres per square metre. The situation will remain the same today, although the mercury will rise a couple of degrees.
