Last night saw the elite of Mallorca's in-crowd gather to mark what is commonly considered the 'official' marking of the start of the summer season: Las Terrazas' Opening Party. The beach club in Illetes, a 10 minute car ride from Palma, is one of the best on the island with its restaurant and terraces overlooking the small sandy beach and rocky cove.
Guests were invited along to enjoy music from the resident DJ, tasty treats from the club's excellent kitchens focusing on Mediterranean cuisine, and a very Spanish atmosphere.
During the daytime the beach club offers luxurious surroundings to while away the hours with cool design, a lounge, cocktail bar and great views. The beach and parking nearby can get crowded so we recommend getting there early if you want a top spot. At night-time the restaurant is open until 2am and reservations are possible after 17.30.
