La Fortaleza Restaurant

Refined Mallorcan cuisine in an intimate historic setting

Location
Cala Blava

La Fortaleza Restaurant in Mallorca offers a unique dining experience where local flavours, quality ingredients, and creativity take centre stage. Awarded two Soles Repsol, the restaurant is small and intimate, seating just thirty guests, which allows chef Víctor García and his team to focus on detail and precision.

The experience starts in the lounge, where guests can enjoy an aperitif in a relaxed setting by the fire, with soft background music. Appetisers are eaten with the fingers, creating an informal and welcoming atmosphere. The main dining room, formerly a troops’ mess hall, combines space and intimacy with its wooden tables, linen tablecloths, and soft lighting.

La Fortaleza’s tasting menus, such as Un paseo por Mallorca, highlight traditional Majorcan dishes, including stuffed squid and the classic variat, presented with modern touches. The menu is paired with local wines, such as Callet, Manto Negro, and Prensal, to complement the flavours of the island.

During the summer, dining moves to the rooftop, offering views of the bay of Palma. Guests enjoy cocktails on a terrace while taking in the sea breeze and panoramic scenery. With a focus on high-quality local products and a carefully crafted menu, La Fortaleza delivers an intimate and memorable dining experience that showcases the best of Majorcan cuisine.
