The Mallorca Live Festival, to be held on 29th and 30th April this year, offers up sixteen eclectic and colourful hours of music, art, food and design.

This will be the first edition of what promises to be a highly acclaimed festival that will position Mallorca as a cultural and music destination in its own right. An impressive international line-up of musicians is expected to draw audiences of multiple nationalities who will come together to enjoy great music, food and visual art. A family-friendly event, children are more than welcome and, indeed, entry is free for those aged under 10 years old.

Three stages will be set up where musicians of different genres will perform simultaneously. The musical line up includes the best indie, rock, hip hop, electronica, world music and reggae artists along from Spain, UK, Germany and South America, along with over a dozen DJs.

Headlining this year’s event are Skye & Ross from Morcheeba, British-born, DJ Nic Fanciulli, Spanish singer songwriter Bebe, and Spanish dancehall reggae phenomenon Fyahbwoy & Forward Ever Band.

The full list of performers is yet to be finalised but other names to look out for include SFDK, Fuel Fandango, Cycle, Butch, Ellen Allien, Booka Shade, Delorean, Canteca de Macao, Mendetz, Capsula and Meneo, along with a host of smaller acts.

But there is more than music on the menu for Mallorca Live Festival. In between moving from one music stage to another, festival goers will have ample opportunity to refuel thanks to some fifteen food trucks which will be set up, selling snacks and take away dishes from around the world.

A dedicated chill out area will also be erected offering the chance to sit down, relax and rest those tired dancing feet in between acts. A design market will display and sell the latest wares from local designers for those who want to do a little shopping.

In addition to non-stop music and food there will be street art demonstrations from the pioneers of the movement, Okuda and Belin, who will be joined by Balearic artists Necko, Xena and Ovas. All of them will be painting live, demonstrating the urban art trend to revellers in the Street Art Zone.

Music, food and art all in one place...Mallorca Live Festival is an event for all the family.

How to get there: The two day event will be held on the purpose-built festival grounds at Son Fusteret starting at 19:00 on Friday 29th April. Son Fusteret is on the outskirts of Palma de Mallorca. Bus line number 11 drops you directly outside the festival grounds and lines 10 and 34 also put you in close proximity. You can also get to Son Fusteret by metro from Plaza España: get off at the Son Fuster Vell stop.
