Nikki Beach Mallorca White Party 2017 Review

The doors opened at 19:00 on Thursday 8th June. We arrived a fashionable 20 minutes late and were in awe of what must have been a hundred people gathered in the glowing evening sunlight amongst the impressive selection of cars outside the venue. I knew this event was significant but hadn’t really known what to expect and was surprised at how busy it was already.

We went up to the desk and received our wristbands for the evening, before walking through the main entrance along a white carpet and a balloon-filled ceiling. As we made our way through to outside, staff lined up and burst into a big round of applause! I had to turn around to see if someone famous had just walked in. Nope, just us. So we just carried on through to the terrace which was glitz and glamour in every single way, everything was so creative and elegant, it was impossible to fault the attention to detail.

I am glad we had arrived early because the club was still filling up with people so I was able to stop in my tracks and try to take it all in. We decided to have a wonder around to scope out the place before it got too busy. The highlight for me were the caricatures of those who had made reservations on tables, a quirky but personal touch. There were people gathered in the various areas around the beach club, some had booked tables for dinner, others had booked the beach beds area and the rest, who had just purchased standard tickets, took to gathering around the two outdoor bar areas.

It was clear from the get-go that this type of event attracts an affluent clientele. There was a complete mixture of age groups that had come out of the wood work. Men dressed in white shorts, jeans and linen trousers with shirts or t-shirts, whilst the ladies didn’t hold back with some beautiful white outfits and wedges or heels. I had personally worn a white playsuit and gold heels. For those who haven’t been to Nikki Beach before, it’s worth avoiding small stiletto heels as they tend to get caught in the decking. I speak from personal experience!

This was definitely a champagne type of affair, everybody was on the stuff, although the odd beer or mojito was also being consumed! The undercover dining terrace was my favourite area, it was magical with silk white table cloths, fluffy white lights and immaculately set tables. It was fully booked and I could see why when I caught a glimpse of some of the food that was being delivered to tables. The sushi boat appeared to be a hit amongst diners!

It wasn’t long before the entertainment commenced on the make-shift centre stage they had created over the pool with jugglers, dancers, acrobats and musicians. But it wouldn’t be a Nikki Beach party without a violinist playing to the latest music tracks and it was definitely my favourite act of the evening. There were also people on stilts walking around the venue and interacting with guests.

As the night progressed, people began to splash the cash signified by the signature Nikki Beach bottle shows with sparklers and parades, which included occasions where people would receive a dozen bottles of Dom Perignon to a Balthazar bottle of Moet. The glowing summer night sky turned to darkness, as the beach club’s high-tech lighting illuminated the place with a blue/purple glow. The DJ cranked the music up a notch, encouraging people to take to the dancefloor. By 01:00, I was ready to go home but the party was still going strong.

This party, whilst open to everyone, certainly has an exclusive feel to it. If you want to live like a millionaire for the evening, then be sure to pop this prestigious event in your calendar for next year.
