What's On this Week: 14th June 2013
Pacha returns to Palma and canoeists can circle Sa Dragonera
It's another bust week of opening parties, live music and even a chance to canoe round an island, as ever there's lots going on here in Mallorca.
This Friday will see the Opening Party of Pacha Mallorca. Back in Palma after last years stint outside Palma Nova the world famous cherries will return to the capital for the first Pacha party of the summer. Two rooms led by Joey Black will play a mixture of beats. The doors open at 11:30 but don't expect things to hit full swing until after midnight.
For a throw-back to a time before house music the Pink Tones, a Pink Floyd tribute act will be performing in the Trui Theatre on Saturday night. A fully fledged stage production with psychedelic light show await fans of one of the UK's greatest bands. Tickets are €30-€35 and the band will take to the stage at 22:00.
For those looking to work off a Pacha or Floyd inflicted hangover and see one of Mallorca's unspoilt corners then the canoe around Sa Dragonera on on Sunday is the perfect event. A fun excursion that sets off from St Elm at 9am and paddles out to the tiny, uninhabited island on the south west tip of the island that is open to everyone. The trip will cross the short waterway from St Elm to Sa Dragonera then circle the island before returning to St Elm.
Finally we think the Water Party at Aqualand in El Arenal looks like fun. The party brings ten hours of live music and DJs to Europe's largest water park. Tickets are available for the party from Musicnote in Palma and on line. This is the first Water Party of the summer so if you can't make this one keep your eyes on our Events Calendar for the next one.
As well as these events there are gigs from Mallorca rocks, club nights at BCM and of course parties at Nikki Beach. You'll find more information on all the events and more on our Events Calendar.
