Bodega Biniagual, Binissalem

Internationally renowned winemakers in the town of Binissalem

Family-run business located in the heart of the Binissalem wine region producing traditional Mallorcan wines.

The winery is part of the small village of Binigual, which consists of 14 houses and a chapel, as well as extensive farmland. In 1999, after the phylloxera plague destroyed the local vineyards, vines were once again planted at Biniagual. The vineyard currently occupies some 34 hectares and contains 148.000 vines.

Their red wines are blends of different varieties from Spain and Europe based on local grape Manto Negro. They also produce white, rose and sweet wine, as well as olive oil.

The island hosts all sorts of events, including agricultural fairs in the spring and autumn, live music and DJs in the summer, religious fiestas and international sporting events. Some of the most popular are the Mallorca 312 cycling race in April, the Copa del Rey sailing regatta in July and the Moors vs Christians mock battle in September.
