Bodegues Macia Batle Vineyard, Santa Maria del Cami
Right next to the train station on the main line between Palma and Inca
Located near Santa María del Camí, the Macià Batle vineyard has been well-versed in the art of wine making since 1856 when they began making wines with passion. A new generation of grape growers and oenologists are working in an effort to create excellent quality modern wines using select traditional Mallorcan vines Manto Negro, Callet and Prensal. Having adopted modern winemaking techniques in the 21st century and reinforced by dozens of international awards in the last 10 years, this bodega continues to produce some of the island’s finest wines.
The winery is open for visits. They include a tasting of four wines and local specialities. Tours are available in Spanish, English, German and Russian. A wine tour and tasting here includes a delicatessen with their homemade olive oil. With a strong synergy between wine and art, their artistic bottle labels are displayed alongside a selection of art in the bodega’s own gallery.
The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:30.
