Founded in 1962 by renowned violinist Philip Newman, the annual ‘Festival de Pollença' has been drawing lovers of fine music to the island ever since. Each year, a series of performances take place throughout July and August. The line-up for 2011, the festival's 50th anniversary, is an eclectic mix, with performances including flamenco, classical music and even an opera inspired concert.
Tonight's show features classical guitarist, Thanh Hang Nguyen. He will be accompanied by pianist Joana Pons as they perform works by Vivaldi, Granados and Rodrigo.
