Tango with the Fabian Carbone Quartet
Pollença Music Festival
Founded in 1962 by renowned violinist Philip Newman, the annual ‘Festival de Pollença' has been drawing lovers of fine music to the island ever since. Each year, a series of performances take place throughout July and August. The line-up for 2011, the festival's 50th anniversary, is an eclectic mix, with flamenco, classical music and even an opera inspired concert.
Fabian Carbone was born into a family of accordion players and tango musicians. In his genre he is acknowledged as one of the best, performing in concerts across Europe and in South America. Definitely a must for tango enthusiasts!
